INITIAL TOUCHDOWN: 2.9 miles north of Washington (Tazewell County) at 8:51 pm
MAXIMUM WIDTH: 250 yards
LIFTED: 2.6 miles south-southeast of Metamora (Woodford County) at 8:58 pm
TOTAL PATH LENGTH: 3.1 miles
June 5th 2010 was an active evening across central and northern Illinois. With 19 confirmed tornado touchdowns across Illinois many agencies were quite busy. In Tazewell county we had a tornado touch down in Washington. This was the same storm that produced a tornado that took out the downtown district in Elmwood Illinois around 8 pm.
